Leair called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. Present were Supervisors Carlson, Morris and Reid; Supervisor Schimittinger was absent; also present were Town Administrator/Planner Jeff Herrmann and Town Attorney John Macy.
Discussion/Action
– Resolution 06-12R Appointment of Town Clerk
Leair introduced Resolution 06-12R for the appointment of the Town Clerk that was prepared by Attorney John Macy.
Attorney Macy described the resolution for the Board members and stated the resolution follows Wisconsin State Statutes and allows the Town Board to appoint Barbara A. Whitmore to the position of Town Clerk for both the residue of the unexpired elected term, and for the appointed term that begins following the elected term of office.
Leair indicated the benefits package will begin on January 1, 2007 with salary to be compensated after April 30, 2007 – beginning May 1, 2007 as described in the resolution. The Town will also prepare and adopt a resolution to clarify the benefits of the Town Clerk position.
Carlson made motion to approve Resolution 06-12R for the Appointment of the Town Clerk, Morris seconded, motion carried unanimously.
Carlson made motion to adjourn, Reid seconded, motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
