3) Greener Oconomowoc Earth Day Resource
Fair
GO's annual community resource
fair. Exhibits and displays hosted by various green
organizations. Eat a
locally-sourced meal, meet local green business leaders, visit the kids
corner!

Composting Demonstrations
When? April 24th
1) Visit the outdoor Discovery Tour
and Field Lab at Retzer and find out how to turn kitchen
vegetable scraps and yard debris
into compost- "the living soil". Find some cool
"decomposer"
bugs. Plant and take home a vegetable
seed and get a start on your garden. Children must be
accompanied by an adult.

2) Learn about how to make home
composting work for you from a Wisconsin Master
Gardener and
expert composter.

5) Discover Rain Gardens and
Rain Barrels Workshop
Learn about rain gardens and
rain barrels - how they work and what they do for the
environment. You will learn
how to plan and install a rain garden, as well as some basics
about rain barrel
construction, or what to look for in buying a barrel.
