GARBAGE/RECYCLING CHANGES FOR 2012
Starting with the 2012 garbage/recycling year, the billing will be placed on tax bills as a special charge rather than bills being sent out. This will save the town several thousand dollars in yearly costs and time. The fee for 2012 will increase by 50 cents per month, to $183.60 per year. The yearly grant received from the state has been cut causing the town to have less funds to credit residents, the actual charge from John’s has remained the same. The yearly calendar included in this mailing can also be found on the town’s web page.

TIRE COLLECTION
John’s has a limit on tires put out for disposal. They will collect a maximum of 8 tires per year per household, with a limit of 2 per pick-up and only on the bulky pick up day (3rd Friday of each month). Tires larger than 42” need to be cut diagonally into 4 pieces.
